Who Are We
The Friends of Thetford Forest Park (FOTFP) is a voluntary body, established in 1995. It aims to increase knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of Thetford Forest Park and to encourage the involvement of the local community and general public in Thetford Forest Park's future development.

Whilst the Friends of Thetford Forest Park shares common aims and works in close collaboration with Forest Enterprise*, it is an independent body serving the needs of members and visitors to Thetford Forest Park.
As well as timber production, Thetford Forest is managed to provide a range of public benefits which include rural development, recreation and sustainable nature conservation. Visitors and members of the Friends of Thetford Forest Park enjoy the facilities of car parking, picnic areas, waymarked walks and all-ability trails. At High Lodge Forest Centre, there is a gift shop, restaurant, children's adventure play area, cycle hire, forest trails, High Ropes Course, and special events throughout the year. The Friends of Thetford Forest Park helps to develop these assets.
Thetford Forest Park encompasses 20% of the Breckland Environmentally Sensitive Area, making it potentially the greatest contributor, under one land ownership, to Breckland conservation. You can help to make the impact.
